Grace M. Williams utilizes her broad-based and comprehensive understanding of the finance and administrative functions of a business--purchasing, personnel, warehouse and inventory procedures, contracts administration, timekeeping, payroll, and management reporting--to assist clients with the design of more efficient current work flow patterns and systems. She has spent her career designing and implementing system improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs. This has encompassed not only the redesign of how the work is performed and elimination of unnecessary systems, but also the integration of software and hardware solutions to improve productivity. Mrs. Williams is fluent in both English and Spanish.

 

She has over 15 years financial management expertise including four years as a "Big Six" tax consultant and auditor, four years as credit and financial manager, and four years as Controller and CFO for a wide range of clients. Ms. Williams is a Certified Public Accountant with a BBA Accounting Major from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans These and her 7+ years as an entrepreneur, uniquely qualifies her to perform accurate cost benefit analysis processes, systems implementation and operations and management audits and consulting.

In 1996 she started what has become the fastest growing, Latino-woman owned CPA practice in the State of Georgia targeting Latino and minority individuals and minority-owned entrepreneurial ventures . Grace Williams & Associates assists organizations with the restructuring of their financial functions to be more responsive to the operational needs of their end customers, while at the same time reducing costs and improving response time utilizing automation. As she experienced the challenges of starting a business and the great gratification of being successful, Ms. Williams provides her entrepreneur clients with sound, realistic advice and services to minimize the risks and ensure success.

Always looking out for the Hispanic community in Atlanta Ms. Williams is active in several Boards, including the Board of Directors of Día de la Mujer Latina, Inc. She is a founding member and President of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.

In August 2004 Governor Sonny Perdue appointed her to the Georgia State Board of Accountancy. In her newest appointment, Williams will work with the Board to regulate the practice of public accounting, set standards for accounting licensure and investigate and discipline unauthorized, negligent or incompetent practice. Williams is one of seven board members.

Grace López-Williams resides in Duluth, GA with her husband and 3 kids.
